A youth-centered initiative for Syria's conflict-affected children
Light of Beginning is a youth-centered educational and community development initiative supporting children and adolescents in Syria whose education and sense of stability have been disrupted by war, displacement, and prolonged crisis.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create safe, supportive learning spaces where young people can rebuild literacy, confidence, creativity, and hope for the future.
We believe peace begins not only with the absence of conflict, but with restoring dignity, opportunity, and belief in one's potential.
Our Approach
Through locally led educational programming, structured literacy support, creative expression, and confidence-building activities, Light of Beginning works to help conflict-affected youth reconnect with learning and imagine a stronger future.
What begins as a summer initiative is intended to grow into a larger long-term effort supporting Syrian youth through education, health, and community empowerment.
